Dear families,
Thank you all for coming out to the student led conferences last week. It was a joy to watch the students share their work with you. We hope that you enjoyed the conference format and were able to see what your child has been working on throughout the year. We will continue to add to the portfolios until the end of the year and then the students will be able to take them home.
Track club started yesterday! Hopefully you read the blurb about track club in last week’s parent memo. We would love to have you come out to join us and walk or run. Here is the note from Mrs. Reeber from the memo with the details:
Track Club
MRA Track Club starts Tuesday, April 12th. Danielle Reeber, our PE teacher, runs track club at MRA every spring as a way to promote health and wellness at our school. Students, parents, teachers, friends run or walk laps during our lunch recess time. Participants earn a ticket for each lap. Tickets are tallied daily and at the end of May students earn certificates, the class with the most laps gets a play day, and the whole school celebrates how far we’ve run. Our goal this year is to get as far across the Atlantic Ocean as possible. Parents/Guests can run for classes within the 20 minute time frame allotted each class. If you run the full 40 minutes you can put 20 minutes of tickets to one class and 20 minutes to another, but you cannot put all 40 minutes to the same class.
Hopefully many of you are planning on coming out for the auction on Saturday! It is going to be a great event. Not only is it an important fundraiser, but it is also an opportunity to spend with the MRA community. Some have asked if it is worth it to attend if you won’t be able to spend much, and the answer is yes! Even just purchasing a dinner ticket is a helpful contribution. You will also get the chance to bid on the Trillium art project! Every student worked to create are beautiful hen. On the back is a class photo and signatures of all the Trillium students. And don’t forget to get a spot for your child for the Trillium sleepover! Purchase your tickets here: https://molallariveracademy.schoolauction.net/2016auction/tickets/ticket_sales
Have a wonderful rest of your week, and hopefully we will see many of you on Saturday evening!
